I calibrated Dirac Live within an Arcam AVR 850 AV Receiver powering Monitor Audio Platinum speakers, with a REL Serie/S 812 Subwoofer and other toys.
The customer wanted the system setup with a nice balanced sound for music and movies and not too much bass as to be overwhelming. I started the calibration but checking over everything and there was a couple of things wired slightly incorrectly that I corrected.
I spent the lions share of the time working on the systems sound for music dialling it in to sound clean and clear but larger and more grand sounding and more pleasing and adding the subwoofer for music really helped to do this. I decided to use the Line level connection instead of the high level to give me more control of time alignment of the subwoofer to blend better with the mains.
Overall I was very happy with the job I did and the sound of the system after calibration, which was a huge improvement to before.
