I calibrated Dirac Live within an Arcam AVR20 AV Receiver being used a processor with Emotiva amplifiers powering a 9.2.6 lovely Home Cinema system with dual XTZ subwoofers JVC projector with Lumagen processor and other toys in a dedicated black bat cave room.
This was a very interesting calibration for me as it was my first time calibrating a 9 speaker base layer system and I was very impressed with the benefit the front wide speakers brought to the solidity of the systems sound stage and the panning from left to right and front to back.
I spent many hours working on this calibration and set the system up to be huge and epic sounding for movies, really big sounding and impactful. I then worked on the system for music which required a bit of tweaking to the calibration to tighten the bass and pull the sound together. I ended up leaving three different calibrations on the Arcam on three different memory settings so the customer could select full bore bass for movies and tighter bass for music if he preferred.
