I calibrated Dirac Live within an Arcam AVR 850 AV Receiver powering KEF R series speakers with single REL T7 subwoofer, Bluesound Vault for the music library and streaming with other toys, all set up in a very nice home lounge.
The customer contacted me for the calibration because he had been trying to use Dirac but was struggling to get a sound he was happy with.
The bulk of my calibration time was spent on the 2 channel sound for this system, the customer plays the system loud and likes a lot of bass, however I always feel its important to ensure the bass stays tight and is notes and not noise. The calibration required me to try and achieve as much music bass as I could while keeping the bass tight and tuneful. I set things up so the customer could have a little tinker with the settings for a little bit of personal taste.
Of course I also spent time on the systems sound for home cinema, using what I had learned about the system for music and putting that to good use for movies too.
