I calibrated Dirac Live within an Arcam AVR850 AV Receiver being used with Audiolab 8300 MB monoblock amplifiers powering PMC Fact 8 speakers, Fact centre speaker, Monitor Audio rear speakers two REL 528 SE subwoofers and other toys.
This was a very interesting calibration because the subwoofers were hidden in the corners of the room behind the HiFi rack and TV, so the customer had to be a HiFi ninja to keep accessing the subwoofer setting so we could get everything dialled in pre the calibration.
I spent many hours working on this calibration for the system for its two channel music performance which is the customers priority for the systems use. I was able to get system to sound very balanced with great dynamics and a lot of bass as per the customers requirement.
I then spent some time dialling the system in for TV and movies working on getting the centre speaker / centre channel sound to pop out as much as possible to try and offset the centre speakers corner placement.
